With the upcoming Independence Day celebration, here is your reminder to take pride in your property. Please mow tall grass; cut down the weeds & overgrown shrubs by the house & any buildings; pick up any garbage that may have accumulated; take any furniture that is by the curb to the FMC Landfill. We will have lots of visitors in Osage that weekend - we know that we are awesome, but let's SHOW them how awesome we really are!

This applies to residential AND commercial properties - no one is exempt.

If your neighbor needs assistance, help them out - let's all work together.

In accordance to Osage City Ordinance 50.02(10), It is your responsibility to not allow your grass/weeds/brush to grow above 9". If you are in violation, you will be served a notice by City Hall and after 5 days the City will take care of the nuisance and your property taxes will be assessed the cost.

Those who own property on N 7th St with the new sod: now that it has had a chance to take root, the DOT advises that you mow the new sod on the HIGHEST level your mower allows (please do not cut it short). And also please continue to water the sod throughout the summer/fall (especially if we experience long periods of time without rain).
