City of Osakis – Snow Emergency Notice
We know it’s April Fools’ Day… but this isn’t a joke.
With a winter weather advisory in the forecast over the next few days, residents are asked to avoid parking on city streets overnight in case snow removal is needed. Snowplows prefer streets without obstacle courses.
If snowfall requires plowing, vehicles left on the street may be ticketed and/or towed.
Help our crews do their job and save your car from an unwanted ride.
Thanks for your cooperation, and let’s all hope this is winter’s final prank.

It has been more than 24 hours since the last snowfall. All sidewalks are required to be completely cleared of snow and ice no later than midnight tonight, Friday, February 20th.

This is the responsibility of the property owner to ensure the safety of residents who use the sidewalks by clearing all snow and ice from the sidewalks adjacent to their property.

Ordinance #92.21 Amendment #143

Failure to clear your sidewalk by the deadline will result in the City’s contracted snow removal service clearing it for you. The full cost of removal will be charged to the property owner.

No additional notices will be given.

Clear your sidewalks and avoid unnecessary charges.
