🚨Update! 🎉Due to an insane amount of interest in this month's book club (woohoo!), we've added "BYOBook" spots to the signup page to allow for additional friends to join us. BYOBook members will need to source a copy through interlibrary loan (which we can definitely help with) or are welcome to use personal copies or digital editions like Hoopla, Kindle Unlimited, or Audible.

We're ready to celebrate back-to-school season tomorrow morning at Osawatomie Rotary Club's annual "SOS" event! The event provides free school supplies and other back-to-school essentials from 9:00am to 10:30am. If you're an Osawatomie family with school aged kids, come see us tomorrow morning at Trojan Elementary!

We'll be able to sign up kids and caregivers with library cards, chat about all the library resources we offer, and giveaway a few fun toys and pins while we're at it.

AND we have lots of free books for early readers and middle grades, plus a few young adult titles while they last!

Join us this Thursday at 6:00pm for this free adult activity! Grab a partner, parent, friend, or foe and paint each other's portrait, whether you're a seasoned artist or someone who never advanced beyond fingerpaints. The goal isn't to create a masterpiece: have fun, be messy, and make memories!

If you think you know what I'm talking about, please call the library during business hours at (913) 755-2136 or stop by the circulation desk. We're open today until 6:00pm and tomorrow from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Last call for our last teen program for Summer Reading!

We're inviting our teens to join us in the kitchen in making dishes from the past! We'll be making Roman stuffed dates, pancakes with honey and sesame seeds, and a fruit salad. This is a fun program where teens will get some experience in the kitchen while getting to try something new!
