Recently we were notified that the "City of Osborne" phone number was being used as a smoke screen for phone calls. The City of Osborne phone number is showing up on caller ID's. When answered, the caller is requesting information on Medical Insurance.

Do not share personal or financial information with unknown callers or online contacts. Hang up immediately if someone claims to be from the City of Osborne and pressures you for information or payments.

The City of Osborne will never request personal medical, financial information over the phone.

I've heard alot of complaints this morning in regards to the power outage last night. So let me put it into perspective. The city crew has to get to the shop (if it's late like it was last night) that takes a little time. Finding the problems, fixing the problems, double checking and probably triple checking to make sure that the problem is fixed. Hopefully learning along the way there isn't any new problems. Maybe then the decision can be made to turn it back on. But remember, if it's turned on to soon the city might be without power for alot longer. So before people criticize, it might be worth thinking about. If that's not satisfactory I believe there is an opening in the line department. Thank you and have a glorious day! MP
