Southern part of the county has full creeks and waterways. Additional rain tonight may result in water over the road. This is harder to see at night. Be weather aware.

🚨 Possible Flooding — Decatur County 🚨

Water levels in our rivers, creeks, and waterways have risen over the last day, and we are concerned about possible flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas throughout Decatur County.

Please use extra caution near rivers, creeks, bridges, and low-water crossings. Conditions can change quickly.

⚠️ Remember: If you see water over the roadway — TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.
Never attempt to drive through flooded roads. It only takes a small amount of moving water to sweep a vehicle away.

If you see flooding, water over roadways, or other storm-related concerns, please report it to:

📞 Decatur County Emergency Management: 641-572-0665
📞 Decatur County Communication Center: 641-446-4111

For emergencies or life-threatening situations, call 911.

Stay alert, stay safe, and please do not take unnecessary risks.

Another chance for severe weather tonight. Stay weather aware.
