Sac-Osage Fire lent its grant writing services to Roscoe Volunteer Fire last year and they were awarded a $1000 grant to purchase a thermal imaging camera! The SeekPro 300 allows firefighters to pinpoint hot spots inside of walls/floors/overhead spaces. It speeds up the response and saves lives and property, all while fitting in the palm of your hand.
This was made possible by the MFA Volunteer Fire Grant. Since 2020, MFA and the University of Missouri Extension have teamed up to distribute $236,000 to rural volunteer fire departments across the state. This year, 28 grants totaling $50,000 were awarded to 28 departments across Missouri. Our own Roscoe Fire were one of this years’ winners.
Thanks to Vanessa Coleman for her work as the RVFD board secretary, in providing all the needed info to our grant writer, and thanks to Roscoe Fires Lane Coleman and Paul Hooper for posing for this picture, we know it ‘bout killed ya'll, LOLOLOLOL!
