Thank you to everyone who attended our monthly chapter gathering on Thursday, April 9! We had a great presentation from Gary Baker, a former Airline Transport Pilot, aircraft homebuilder, EAA Ford Tri-Motor pilot, member of the EAA Chapter Advisory Council and Homebuilt Aircraft Council, and member of EAA Chapter 846 in Ohio. Gary's presentation covered how to handle in-flight emergencies, including emergency checklists and real-world examples of how pilots have dealt with these situations.

Special thanks to the members of the EAA Chapter Advisory Council for attending our gathering, who were in Oshkosh for the annual in-person meeting of the council at EAA headquarters.

Thanks to everyone who attended our chapter gathering on Thursday, February 12! Our chapter member Lauren Stettbacher gave a presentation on her journey of becoming a pilot and obtaining her instrument, tailwheel, commercial, and CFI ratings/endorsements. She was joined by Steve Krog, founder and chief CFI at Kylie's Cub Air Flight in Hartford, Wisconsin, where Lauren completed much of her advanced training and now works as a flight instructor!

Our chapter also celebrated our 2025 EAA Ray Aviation Scholar, Lily K., for completing her first solo flight on February 7. She had her Ray Scholar shirt tail cut off, as is tradition for student pilots, and there was cake for everyone to enjoy!
