Marching Band at State!!!

Our Panther Marching Band had an amazing weekend at the Illinois State Marching Championship. They were second in class 6A (the highest we've ever finished), and were 11th in state in finals, the third time in the last four years we've made finals.

ABOUT US: Oswego High School, home of the Panthers, opened in 1964 and proudly represents its orange and blue school colors. With a strong tradition of excellence and support from the community, OHS provides a safe and welcoming learning environment where students are encouraged to grow, explore their interests, and reach their full potential.

Our school has award-winning arts and athletics programs, hands-on learning opportunities, and numerous clubs and organizations to help students stay engaged and explore.

Our goal is to best prepare our students for what comes next in their journey.

This weekend Alli Wiertel and Giselle Resendez participated in the IHSA State Golf Tournament at Hickory Point Golf Course in Decatur, IL. After round 1, Alli was in second place with a 69 (-2). Giselle was in a tie for 40th place with a 79. Going into round 2, SPC golfers were in the top three in the final groups. Alli finished round 2 with a 71 (-1) to finish in a tie for third. Giselle posted a 74 (+2) including a personal best 35 (-1) on the front 9 to finish in a tie for 31st. Congratulations to both Alli and Giselle on an amazing season!

Oswego Bass Fishing picked up right where they left off from last season and earned another first place finish this weekend at the Shabbona Lake Fall Tournament! With tough fishing conditions due to heavy rains leading up to tournament day, only seven out of the 25 boat field managed to weigh in fish. Oswego’s boat of Ryan Stork and Jaxson Zdan was the only boat to weigh in more than two fish and had a 5 bass limit that went for 12 lbs.
