Join us every second and fourth Tuesday of the month for stories, crafts, and fun!

This program is for all adults with special needs and will meet in the community room. Groups are welcome, but please contact the library ahead of time for groups of five or more, so we can have supplies for everyone.

In September, Library Time will meet outside the children's room in the stacks.

Teens ages 13-17 are invited to register for our monthly Lit Loot Bag! Each bag will have a theme and contain 1 library book, 1 craft or activity, and an assortment of goodies!

September's theme is Back to School.

The last day to sign up for a September Lit Loot Bag is Saturday, September 5th.

How It Works:
📝 Register each month for your Lit Loot Bag. One bag per person per month.
📚 Choose what type of book genre(s) you would like to read.
☎️ We'll contact you when your bag is ready for pickup.
‼️You must pick up your Lit Loot Bag by September 12th.
🪅Keep the treats and goodies.
📖 Return the library book.

Out of more than 100 applicants, the Oswego Public Library was one of ten libraries chosen to receive twelve free books about the Great Lakes through the Fresh Coast Bookshelf program.

This is the program's inaugural year, and the Oswego Public Library is the only library along the shores of Lake Ontario to be chosen.

Thanks to everyone’s interest in the program, we’re now offering two Baby Bounce sessions every Thursday, 10-10:30 AM and 3-3:30 PM, starting September 3rd.

What is Baby Bounce? Kids 0-24 months and their caregivers can enjoy books, rhymes, songs, playtime, and caregiver connection.

Just in time for the fall birding season in New York, we have two backpacks with binoculars and guides available for a week at a time!

We also offer five fishing poles, each with bobbers, sinkers, hooks, and an information binder, available to borrow for a week. Please note that you will need to get your own fishing license.
