📚 Traughber is excited to welcome our first author of the year! 📚

Thanks to Anderson's Bookshop, our 6th graders will kick off their reading journey at Traughber with a special visit from New York Times bestselling author and illustrator Maria Scrivan!

Maria will share what it’s like to be an author, walk students through her creative process, and even show us how she brings her illustrations to life. ✏️📖

Students will also have the opportunity to purchase Maria’s newest book, featuring all the friendships, challenges, and adventures that come with junior high life!

We can’t wait to welcome Maria Scrivan to Traughber! 💛🖤

Today, students chose a group, created a name and headband, and will soon embark on various survival adventures, just like our characters in Lord of the Flies! May the odds be ever in their favor!
