Despite some moderate rain and winds, the 2024 Military Appreciation Charter Boat Fishing Event was a huge success. We hosted Veterans from multiple generations, and sincerely appreciate their service to our country. We'd also like to extend a special thanks to our event sponsors, Constellation Energy and Oswego County Federal Credit Union.

What a fun night at SUNY Oswego's Military Night at the Oswego vs. Buffalo State Hockey Game. Thank A Service Member was proud to have our Executive Director, Peter Allen as the guest of honor, drop the puck to start the game.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table to learn more about our organization. We were able to distribute 50 Stone's Candies ice cream coupons to the kids and over 100 charity t-shirts to the fans.

Special thanks to Brendan McInerney, Ken Cisson, and the SUNY staff and volunteers for hosting the event!

It was a perfect day yesterday for the third annual Thank A Service Member / City of Oswego Military Appreciation Charter Boat Fishing Event and Luncheon.

This was truly a special day, and we were honored to host over 3 dozen veterans from all branches of service and spanning multiple generations ranging all the way up to 103-year-old WWII Veteran (Howard Hall).

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the team behind this wonderful event: Thank a Service Member Volunteers, Oswego Mayor Barlow, Oswego City Council President Robert Corradino, Oswego City Parks Dept, Tom Wojslaw of Oswego Fish Cleaning, and these Charter Boats/Captains:

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for us in CNY Tuesday's grant competition. Unfortunately, the charity did not receive enough votes and was not selected to receive a grant.

Nevertheless, we are very grateful for the support, and we look forward to seeing everyone at our Watchfire event at 7pm on May 27th behind the War Memorial in Fulton, NY.
