Sadly, a pedestrian is killed every 74 minutes in traffic crashes. Remember, at some point in the day EVERYONE is a pedestrian:

πŸšΆβ€βž‘οΈ Follow the rules of the road
πŸšΆβ€βž‘οΈ Use crosswalks when available
πŸšΆβ€βž‘οΈ Walk on sidewalks when available

🚘 Look out for pedestrians and minimize blind spots
🚘 Be careful in hard-to-see conditions
🚘 Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks

It can be hard to keep up with everything these days. From stressful work days, to personal struggles, it can be a lot on the mind. For Mental Health Awareness Month, we would like to remind you that mental stress can influence driving behaviors.

Stressful driving can be:
- Lack of awareness/tunnel vision
- Risky driving
- Aggressive driving

If you feel overwhelmed, make sure to stop somewhere safe like a parking lot and take enough time to decompress. Mental Health and Traffic Safety are always important things to keep in check.

They aren't magicians!

A motorcycle is not as wide or big as any other car on the road, and that's why it's important to maintain attention to not only the road ahead, but all around as well. So when you are on the road this summer, make sure to look out for ANY vehicle whether it's a semi-truck or a motorcyclist.

We had an incredible time hosting the Traffic Safety Champions ceremony this Wednesday!
A huge thank you to our law enforcement for making the roads and streets in our county safer. Of course, we wouldn't be able to have had such a great time without Kristen's Kitchen being able to let us use their venue!

The month of May is Motorcycle Awareness Month, but it is ALWAYS important to remember the basics of checking mirrors and blind spots frequently, and to maintain 360 degrees of awareness!

This is the first of many gifs and videos we will be uploading throughout the rest of the month!
