Training last night was a joint drill with the Hannibal VFD. Topic was tanker operations and moving water when hydrants are not available. We do not have or need a tanker often in our town but we do work with them frequently on mutual aid fires. This training gives our members the opportunity to setup a port-a-tank, draft and work with a tanker to shuttle water to a fire scene. We did cheat a little and cut down on transport distance but utilizing a fire hydrant at our station but otherwise the operations are all the same. THANK YOU to Hannibal Chiefs Sweating and Clark for bringing their apparatus and personnel over for this joint training.

Last night, we had the opportunity to meet with the Oswego County Prevention Coalition to receive some of our lock bags for our crews! A big thanks for offering to share bags with the community and for helping keep Oswego County safe! All it can take is just a lock to prevent kids, pets, or anyone from accidentally consuming cannabis products!

HUGE THANK YOU to Girl Scout Troop 10566/10567 from the Oswego/Minetto area. While selling cookies this past season these girls also collected donations that were then shared with local first responders in our community. They have donated over 500 boxes of cookies this year. Today they came to Oswego Town FD station and brought us a large supply of donated cookies. Pictured below are some of our members acknowledging the fantastic gift. Thank you for thinking of us and other first responders.
