🏈 The City of Othello’s NFL Flag Football Registration is closing July 9th! 🏈

Join us for an exciting Summer season of fun, teamwork, and football! NFL Flag Football is open to boys and girls entering grades 1st–6th for the 2026–2027 school year.

📅 Registration: 5/9/26 – 7/9/26
📅 Season: 8/11/26 – 9/3/26
📍 Games: Tuesdays & Thursdays
💲 Cost: $54.25
🙋 Volunteer Coaches Needed!

Divisions are based on each athlete’s grade level for the 2026–2027 school year. If you have trouble registering for the correct division, please contact Parks and Recreation for assistance.

⚠️ Team Formation & Waitlist Information:
Team sizes and divisions depend on available roster space and approved volunteer coaches. Additional teams and spots may be added if more coaches become available. Each division requires a minimum of four (4) approved volunteer coaches to operate.

If a division fills, players may be placed on a waitlist. Waitlist spots are filled first come, first served and do not guarantee participation. Fees will only be charged if a player is moved to an active roster, and families will be notified by email if space becomes available.

📌 Registration Guidelines:
• Registration and payment are required before participation
• Schedules and activities may change if necessary
• Program and volunteer minimums must be met
• No refunds for participant cancellations

🏆⚾ DISTRICT 5 CHAMPIONS! ⚾🏆

Our 10U Little League Baseball All-Star team has been crowned the 2026 District 5 Champions and is officially headed to the Washington State Tournament!

This team put on an incredible display of talent, determination, resilience, and teamwork throughout the tournament. From the first pitch to the final out, these young athletes competed with heart, represented our community with pride, and earned their place among the top 10U teams in Washington State.

We are beyond proud of this outstanding group of players, coaches, and families whose hard work and dedication made this achievement possible. Their commitment to the game and support for one another has been inspiring to watch every step of the way.

A special thank you to CBHA for their generous sponsorship and continued support of youth baseball. Your partnership helps provide opportunities for our athletes to grow, compete, and create lifelong memories.

DISTRICT 5 CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Our 12U Little League girls are officially District Champions and are headed to the Washington State Tournament! What an incredible weekend of hard-fought games, teamwork, determination, and heart. These girls earned their spot to be among the best teams in the state.

We couldn't be prouder of this group of athletes, coaches, and families who have supported them every step of the way.

⚾️🥎 Big team win for Othello Little League Boys & Girls!

Our 10U Boys All-Stars opened their season in dominant fashion with a 16–0 victory over Asotin County All-Stars. This was truly a full team effort—14 hits at the plate, aggressive base running with 13 stolen bases, and flawless defense with zero errors.

Meanwhile, our Majors Softball All-Stars battled their way to the Washington District 5 Championship, defeating Asotin 4–3 in an exciting showdown. Congratulations to these girls on bringing home the district title!

Every player played a role in these outstanding team performances. We’re proud of the effort, sportsmanship, and teamwork displayed by both teams.

2026 Summer Recreation Registration EXTENDED

Good news! Registration for our 2026 Summer Recreation Program has been extended and will now close on June 14, 2026, or when all spots are filled. Please register as soon as possible to secure your child's spot.

Only 100 spots are available. Once capacity is reached, participants will be placed on a waitlist in the order registrations are received. Families will be notified if a spot becomes available.

We’re excited to offer our 2026 Summer Recreation Program for children ages 4–12. This 3-week program includes a variety of fun activities such as chalk art, playground games, various sports, relay races, movies, and more.

Week 1: July 6–10
Week 2: July 13–17
Week 3: July 20–24

Time:
Drop-Off: 8:45–9:00 AM
Pick-Up: 11:45 AM–12:00 PM

Lions Park Gazebo (near the Tennis Courts on Pine Street)

🍂⚽ 2026 FALL SOCCER REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN ⚽🍂

The City of Othello Parks & Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for the 2026 Fall Soccer Season.

Season Dates: September 22 – October 15, 2026
Game Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Game times will be determined by division and registration numbers and announced once teams have been formed.

Divisions are based on the participant's grade level for the 2026–2027 school year:
• Pre-K (minimum age 4) & Kindergarten
• 1st–2nd Grade
• 3rd–4th Grade
• 5th–6th Grade

Please note:
• Registration fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.
• All outstanding balances must be paid before participating in City sports programs.
• Coach and buddy requests are not guaranteed.
• Programs require sufficient participant enrollment and volunteer coaches to operate.
• No refunds will be issued for participant-initiated cancellations.

Uniform sizing samples are available at the Parks & Recreation Office, 81 E. Pine Street, Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Families are strongly encouraged to try on uniforms before registration closes, as all uniform sales are final.

The City of Othello would like to thank our utility customers for their patience and understanding as we work through unforeseen circumstances within the Utility Billing Department.

As a result, utility bills will be mailed a few days later than usual this month. Residents should expect to receive their utility bills later in the month than they normally do. However, please note that all billing periods, due dates, and shut-off dates will remain unchanged and have not been affected by this delay.

To help accommodate this situation, all late fees will be waived for this billing cycle.

Customers who would like to know their utility bill balance before receiving their bill in the mail may contact City Hall at (509) 488-5686 by Monday, June 1st, and staff will be happy to provide your current balance.

We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause. We are committed to working with any customer who experiences difficulties as a result of the delayed mailing and encourage anyone with questions or concerns to contact us.
