48 Senate Republicans blocked the health tax credit extension in December. Now the average ACA deductible is a record $3,786, up $1,027, the steepest jump in Marketplace history. Monthly payments are up 58%. KFF: 37% of enrollees say groceries are harder to afford.

Obamacare is not an insurance plan you buy. It is a law. The Affordable Care Act sets rules private insurers must follow: no denials for pre-existing conditions, no charging you more for being sick, no dollar caps on care, kids covered to 26, free checkups and screenings, and they can’t cancel your policy for any reason.

Today, the Nebraska Supreme Court affirmed what we already knew: the will of Nebraska voters matters.

When over 70% of Nebraskans vote to pass a measure, it isn't the job of state leadership to spend time and taxpayer dollars trying to overturn it in court. It’s the job of elected officials to serve the people and enforce the law. Great job to NMM and their hard work on this!

As your Secretary of State, I will always honor the democratic process, uphold the law, and respect the voters who make this state strong. It’s time to move forward and deliver what Nebraskans asked for.
