Our Center Support workshop is where crews service and maintain equipment, fill air tanks, and keep gear response-ready. In the Decontamination Area, equipment from the trucks is cleaned and disinfected through designated red, yellow, and green zones. The area also features steam showers, a laundry space, and specialized gear washers designed to remove contaminants and help protect firefighters from harmful carcinogens.

Starting today (April 14), the City will begin removing ash trees along Odean Avenue as part of an important community forestry project.

This work will be completed by a contractor using funding from the Protecting Community Forests Grant awarded to the City of Otsego through the Minnesota DNR.

For every ash tree that is removed, a new tree will be planted at a 1:1 ratio. A variety of tree species will be used to promote a healthier, more diverse urban forest for our community.

We appreciate your patience as this work is completed and thank you for helping us protect and strengthen our local tree canopy.
