PTO Meeting Recap 5/11/26:
● End of year wrap-up! Our 2 fundraisers raised enough money for PTO to do a lot this year:
◦ Events: Kids’ Night Out, Movie Night, Playground Meet-ups
◦ Student support: Camp Invention Scholarships, blue “communicator” folders, field trip funding up to $5 per student (2 grade levels used this), preschool graduation t-shirts, popcorn for winter carnival, popsicles for Field Day, cash flow for Book Fairs
◦ Teacher & staff support: Stock the Lounge with treats, Conference Day dinner, Winter holiday gift card drawings, classroom supplies reimbursement up to $100 per teacher, Teacher Appreciation Week, water for the lounge
◦ Other income came from BoxTops for Education, Handy Foods receipts, and event entrance fees
● Movie Night (Friday, May 15, 7pm!) planning and logistics discussion - the last PTO event of the year
● Camp Invention scholarship wrapped up, one scholarship was awarded per grade (Grades 1-4)
● Briefly discussed including PTO board transitions, Field Day contributions, preschool graduation t-shirts, street crossing safety issues, and other year-end items PTO provides
● Teacher field trip funding and classroom supply reimbursements are still available
● Next Meeting: September 14, 2026, 5:30pm, online via Google Meet
