Worship in person! Every Sunday 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Since 1892, The Salvation Army has been privileged to serve those in need in Ottawa and surrounding areas in LaSalle County. Whether it is every day needs, emergency disaster relief, help with utilities and or rent/mortgage, or Christmas assistance, we are happy to provide the needed social service ministry to those who need help. Our sincere thanks go out to our many volunteers, friends and supporters who make our work possible!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year! We have some thank you's to give for another successful Angel Tree season! Each year we have multiple businesses or organizations that take tags to fulfill within their place of business! This year the following places took tags and fulfilled for us:

• OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center took 38 tags for us and provided 191 toys!
• RPS Toys donated toys for our shop at the beginning of the season and that was a total of 93 toys AND they took 17 tags and provided 99 toys!
• Downtown Courthouse took 40 tags for us and provided 185 toys!
• Invenergy took 20 tags for us and provided 103 toys!
• Ottawa BP North Expresslane took 15 tags for us and provided 42 toys!
• Epsilyte took 20 tags and provided 120 toys!
• Market on Mill in Utica took 28 tags and provided 217 toys!
• Wallace Grade School took 40 tags and provided 212 toys!
• Illinois Association of Highway Engineers along with IDOT took 40 tags provided 245 toys!
• Applebees Peru Illinois took 5 tags and had 44 toys!
• Stavanger Lutheran Church took 20 tags and provided 141 toys!
• Ottawa Sunrise Rotary Club donated 622 and 130 books!
• Walmart Peru had 1,324 toys from community shoppers donated!
• Walmart Ottawa - Veterans Dr had 795 toys from community shoppers donated!

Other places that had a box set up for toys or took a collection for us:
• Culvers of Ottawa
• Harley Davidson of Ottawa
• Ottawa Dollar Genreral
• Sheridan Dollar General
• Wedron Silica
• Farm and Fleet of Ottawa

Each year we couldn't make our program happen without the communities help in taking a tag, donating toys or monetary donations!

Another successful Angel Tree year and distribution day!!
We hope all of our families have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We have so many companies and our community to thank and that will be coming soon!
We couldn't have done it without everyone who had a helping hand in this successful season. God bless each and everyone of you!

If you still have your Angel Tree tag, please turn in as soon as possible! Even if you think it is too late, we are still waiting on tags to come back and will still take them the rest of this week! Return the toys where you picked your tag up or bring to our office.

Today, we have 20 days left to ring the bells at our local kettle supporters. We have not reached the halfway point of our goal. Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for our community to help us support those most in need. Please take the time today to stop and give when you see a kettle and a cold bellringer. The funds we raise will help us to support families at Christmas through Angel Tree and throughout the rest of the year in our Pathway of Hope program. It also helps us to provide supplemental food and our ability to partner with Servant's Heart to provide lunch every day for those in need. We help hundreds of families each year, but we can only do this with your continued support. Thank you so much for your generous hearts.

We are now taking applications for bellringing this season. Please come in to pick up an application to fill out. It will be part-time or full-time, with a flexible schedule, but part-time needs to be consistent. Minimum wage is the going rate again this season. Please join our team to make Christmas special for everyone.
