Please share this post. Just a reminder, recycling is closed all day today, Monday, May 25th in Observance of Memorial Day. They will be back open the following day, Tuesday, May 26th, normal hours M-F 9a-5p and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month 8a-11a.

Please feel free to share this post. In addition to our normal weekday hours, here is the post for Saturdays for the months of June, July & August. The time for these Saturdays is 8-11 am. Also, for the month of July, there is only ONE Saturday due to having a holiday for Independence Day. Please continue to watch Facebook or our website for our Saturday schedules. Thank you!

Please share this post!! For anyone planning on coming out to Recycle Day on Saturday, please read. We have noticed the weather has made a turn for the worse in the morning instead of the afternoon now. Hoping the weather will change again by then for the better but it is hard to say. So we just wanted to let you know that you may want to keep an eye on the weather for Ottawa. If there is lightning at any point, that will cause delays unfortunately. As long as the storms clear, we will still do it in the rain but just know there is a possibility for lightning delays to keep everyone safe. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

2026 Recycle Day is for PUTNAM COUNTY OHIO Residents for Residential Items only. It will be taking place at the PUTNAM COUNTY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER PARKING LOT 124 PUTNAM PARKWAY, OTTAWA, OH (across from Ottawa Elementary School) on April 18 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. This is no longer first come, first serve, so come anytime!! See the picture attached for the items that will be taken or NOT taken that day. Office of Public Safety will be taking syringes/needles again. New last year, it was agreed to have the Solid Waste District pay the additional money to have our new company ERG Environmental Services take ANY AEROSOL CANS- like paint, hairspray, etc. and HOUSEHOLD PESTICIDES & CLEANERS. Thank you to our sponsors for this day at the bottom of the picture! This is also posted on our website under the events page and will be in the Sentinel on April 8 & April 15. We will also be having a digital ad through the Sentinel for this too. Feel free to share this post.
