🏴‍☠️ PEP IN ACTION: Building Connection & Community! ❤️🤍

Today during PEP, our doCHANGE Peer Mentors showed once again that building a strong community doesn’t always require a lesson or an assignment—it can start with a game, a laugh, and simply spending time together.

Our mentors led their freshman groups in a variety of activities designed to help students connect, build friendships, step outside their comfort zones, and feel like they belong:
🪢 The Human Knot — Jack Carroll, Evelyn Andree, Bryer Harris & Julia Craig
🦎 Lizard — Landry Brenbarger, Syriah Miller, Joey Brown, Sierra Harmon & Iris Hasty
🕵️ Mafia — Logan Oslon, Addie Landers, Tucker Johnson & Mia Lowe
🃏 Spades — Charli Stoudt
❌⭕ Competitive Tic Tac Toe — Eugenia Craig, Blake Schiltz, Jazmine Adams & Megan Kane

These activities may look like just games, but they are doing something much bigger: creating relationships and building community.

Our mentors have been doing an incredible job helping our freshmen feel welcomed, confident, and connected as they begin their journey at OTHS. They are showing what leadership looks like—not by standing in front of others, but by bringing people together and making sure everyone feels like they belong.
The first few weeks of high school can make a huge difference. We are proud of the way our doCHANGE mentors are helping make those weeks a little more fun, a little less intimidating, and a whole lot more connected. 🏴‍☠️
