McKinley Elementary School Providing information for our parents, students, and community members. There is also a parochial school in the city; Marquette academy.

Ottawa Elementary District 141 operates five schools approximately 2,100 students in grades PK-8. One PK-4 elementary school and two K-4 elementary schools with enrollments ranging from 320-500 are operated in various sections of the city. An intermediate and middle school on the south side serves all fifth through eighth grade students. A Comprehensive, standards based program is offered to stude

nts including special teachers in elementary art, music, physical education and technology. The parochial school and the public school has an excellent working relationship and services are shared whenever possible. Ottawa takes pride in its excellent schools, both public and parochial. Education is Ottawa's investment in the future and the school staff has worked hard to assure citizens that the investment has been a wise and profitable one.

We would like to announce that we had meals that were ordered and not picked up today. We will be offering them out to families tomorrow from 8am-11am at Central Intermediate School. They will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.
If you picked up your meals today, you can not be provided any more meals this week. Next week's link will open soon!

We are so excited for the overwhelming request for summer meal bags this first week of our program. Regretfully, we must close the link early this week as the numbers are much higher than we had anticipated!
If you didn't get your order in, please email Mrs McConnell with your request and if there are any not picked up, we will gladly give them out on a first come, first serve basis. ([email protected])
Going forward, we will be better prepared to accommodate all requests and apologize for anyone we can't provide for this week.

What an event filled end to the year! Today marks the conclusion of the school year and we celebrated both our exiting fourth graders and retirees. Our fourth graders shared memories and advice with everyone and retirees participated in a fun game of trivia during our assembly. We want to extend a big congratulations to Ms. Hendrickson, Mrs. Robinson, and Mrs. Woolley! Thank you for your many years of service to OES and we hope you enjoy your well deserved retirement!

Here's a couple reminders:
You must only order meals for children ages 18 & under.
If you or a spouse are not able to pick up meals for your children, you must designate a person to pick them up. They will not be distributed to anyone other than that person.
Meal pick up is Wednesday, June 3rd at CENTRAL INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL, main entrance, from 10am -1pm.
Please place only 1 order per family with the intention of picking them up on the distribution day.

McKinley Families,

Tomorrow will be the last day of attendance and students in grades K-6 will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. We cannot believe the conclusion of this school year is upon us, but are happy to celebrate and reflect on all of the student accomplishments through the year. Also, teachers will be distributing report cards to students tomorrow. We hope all our families have a safe and enjoyable summer!

We are excited to share that we recently celebrated our 3rd Trimester Award winners in the library in recognition of their outstanding behavior. We celebrated the outstanding behavior the students have put in while in the library this trimester.

The winning classes were invited to a popsicle party outside while listening to a story. The smiles and laughter reflected the positive spirit these classes bring to our school each day.

Congratulations to the following classes: Mrs. Twardowski, Ms Ferguson, Ms. Holbert, Mrs. Buckingham, Mrs. Johnson, and Mr. Jett. We are so proud of your continued commitment to making great choices and setting a positive example for others.
