Congratulations and thank you to the Ottawa Memorial Auditorium! 🎉

We are incredibly honored and grateful to announce that the Ottawa Memorial Auditorium has received a $50,000 Pathways to a Healthy Kansas grant from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas to support the transformation of our Exhibition Hall kitchen into a community incubator kitchen!

This project will help create a flexible commercial-style kitchen space that can serve a variety of needs within our community. In partnership with local organizations and community partners, the space will provide opportunities for educational programming, healthy living initiatives, cooking demonstrations, and entrepreneurial growth for those interested in food-based businesses.

In addition to educational opportunities, we’re excited to explore entertainment and event opportunities that utilize the new kitchen space in fun and creative ways for our patrons and guests.

Since 1921, the OMA has continued to evolve to meet the needs of our community, and this project is another exciting step forward in expanding how our historic venue can serve Ottawa and Franklin County.

Thank you to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas and the Pathways to a Healthy Kansas program for believing in this vision and investing in the future of our community. We can’t wait to share more updates as this project moves forward!
