⚠️ August 30 - Flood Watch has been extended to Monday (8/31) evening. ⚠️

August 30 - Ouray County Emergency Management:

FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* WHAT: Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE: Portions of Colorado - to include these areas in Ouray County: the San Juan Mountains, Dallas Divide and Uncompahgre Plateau. This will include the Hwy 550 corridor / Cutler and Dexter Creek areas and Red Mountain Pass, and more.
* WHEN: Through this evening.
* IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

***Recent burn scars will also be especially susceptible - such as the Gold Mountain Fire burn scar area.***
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Monsoonal moisture will remain across the area today and will support thunderstorms and showers with heavy rainfall across the watch area. Several rounds of heavier rain are expected increasing the chance for flash flooding especially in our more susceptible areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued. Learn more about flood notices: https://ouraycountyco.gov/568/Flash-Flooding-in-Burn-Scar-areas

30 de agosto -
Gestión de Emergencias del Condado de Ouray:

VIGILANCIA DE INUNDACIONES REPENTINAS VIGENTE HASTA ESTA NOCHE.

* QUÉ: Es posible que se produzcan inundaciones repentinas debido a lluvias excesivas.

* DÓNDE: Zonas de Colorado, incluidas las siguientes áreas del condado de Ouray: las montañas de San Juan, Dallas Divide y la meseta de Uncompahgre. Esto abarca el corredor de la autopista 550, las áreas de Cutler Creek y Dexter Creek, el paso Red Mountain (Red Mountain Pass) y otras zonas.

* CUÁNDO: Hasta esta noche.

* IMPACTOS: El exceso de escorrentía puede provocar el desbordamiento de ríos, arroyos, riachuelos y otras zonas bajas o propensas a inundaciones.
