Crooked Lake Township

Crooked Lake Township is located along scenic highway 6, just 30 minutes north of Crosby.

Encompassing 36 square miles, the township is home to 25 pristine lakes. With six square miles of water, it has become a go to spot for thousands of visitors.

Residential taxpayers in Cass county can dispose of clothing and linens free of charge at the Northern Cass County Developmental Achievement Center located on CO Road #12, south of Jimmy’s Restaurant in Walker. Drop-off is allowed only during business hours. Do not leave boxes or bags of clothing at the gate or door. All clothing and linens must be clean and dry.

Public Service Announcement:

Residential taxpayers in Cass county can dispose of one used appliance per month at no cost. You can take the unwanted appliance to the Hackensack, Pine River, Slagle’s and May Township transfer sites. Check hours of operation ahead of time.

Public Service Announcement:
Residential taxpayers in Cass county can dispose of Hazardous Waste at the Pine River Transfer Station at no charge. Also, during summer months, Mobile Hazardous Waste collections are held at various locations in Cass county.

Hazardous Waste collection is scheduled at Crooked Lake Township on August 5, 2026, from 1 PM to 3 PM. Check Crooked Lake Township web site for more information.
