Minds Matter was so happy to celebrate with you at the Launch Party—and honored to sponsor the desserts for such a special evening. 🍰

What stood out to us most was the incredible culture Dr. Neuman has created. You could see and feel how much this team genuinely enjoys working together, cares about the work they do, and is passionate about the people they serve. That kind of culture is something special, and it was refreshing and inspiring to experience it firsthand.

Being in the community and OF the community are two different things. Being in the community may mean you are led by a bunch of professionals, perhaps with a group of other people with disabilities, going on "outings." At Minds Matter LLC we are proud to say we support people with disabilities to be OF the community. We help you make connections with people who are in your neighborhood or immediate community. We support you to join groups based on hobbies and interests that bring meaning to you, not based on your disability. And, by all means, if you want to attend support groups to talk with others who have had a similar experience, we will do that as well. We want you to live your life, your way. For 35 years we have supported many people to do just that. As much as we love to work with you, we know you'd love to kick us to the curb and we have big celebrations when that happens. Our goal is for you to be as independent as possible away from therapy and services.

Today is and we have some VERY exciting news to share! 🎉

Minds Matter is so excited to announce that we have partnered with The University of Kansas Health System, the Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City, and Get Schooled on Concussions to provide access to the Teacher Acute Concussion Tool (TACT) to ALL Kansas school districts at no cost!

The purpose of this tool is to give teachers the tools and guidance they need to support students academically immediately following a concussion.

As this program gets underway, our hope is to spread awareness to school nurses, athletic trainers, and school administrators throughout the state and encourage implementation of this free tool to benefit students statewide.

We’re excited to be joining 10 other states in providing access to TACT and are proud to be part of an effort to help students and educators navigate the complex challenges children may face following a concussion. 💜

We had a great morning at the Center for Practical Bioethics’ annual Breakfast of Champions at Sporting Kansas City park! ☀️
