Libertarian Party of Kansas (LPKS)

Libertarian Party of Kansas (LPKS) The Libertarian Party of Kansas is a political party working to advance Liberty for all!

We, the Members of the Libertarian Party of Kansas, believe in the people of Kansas. We hold that all adults are capable of deciding what is best for themselves, their families, and their communities. We recognize that all individuals have the right to exercise sole dominion over their own lives, and have the right to live in whatever manner they choose, so long as they do not forcibly interfere with the equal right of others to live in whatever manner they choose.

Rep. Sharice Davids will not take part in the Johnson County Post's Oct. 13 forum for Kansas' 3rd Congressional District.

The Democrat, running for her fifth term, has won the seat by double-digit margins in four straight elections. Her campaign told the Post it gave the format some thought and decided it was "the right call for us" to skip the forum.

Political scientists told the Post that candidate forums give voters a rare look at their choices side by side, and that fewer incumbents are taking part. Axios has reported a similar trend of candidates avoiding debates in high-profile races nationwide.

Republican Eric Jenkins and Libertarian Steve Hohe will still take part as planned and the Post is moving forward with the event.

We still have a few Kansas State Fair booth shifts that need coverage, and some of them currently have no one signed up at all.

The Meadowlark Building is open 9 AM–9 PM, and we need at least one person at the booth at all times. Two is even better so everyone can take a break, grab food, or walk around a bit.

Our regular shifts are 9–3 and 3–9, but those times are flexible. If you can help from 12–5, 10–2, 4–8, or another block of time, that absolutely helps β€” just add your plans to the signup sheet.

Tickets into the fairgrounds are available for those that help.

Right now, these shifts are completely open:

Friday, Sept. 11 β€” 3–9 PM
Sunday, Sept. 13 β€” 3–9 PM
Tuesday, Sept. 15 β€” 3–9 PM
Thursday, Sept. 17 β€” 9 AM–3 PM
Sunday, Sept. 20 β€” 9 AM–3 PM

I (Rob) may be able to pick up some additional booth time myself, but as a candidate I also have events and other commitments starting to pop up during the Fair. I need to keep enough flexibility to attend those when needed.

If you can help cover even part of one of these open shifts, please sign up here:

Every few hours of help makes a difference. Thank you!
