Join Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas for 913 Day as Life 88.5 Radio and neighbors across the 913 area code unite to fight hunger—one can at a time! Our goal is to collect 913 pounds of non-perishable food for local food pantries.

You can make a difference! Drop off your donations on Sunday, September 13, from 3:30–5:30 p.m. at our Overland Park Family Support Center: 9806 W 87th Street. Every can helps provide hope to our community. Thank you for your support!

We are so grateful to the Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison for their ongoing generosity and support! Every month, they donate 100 to 120 pounds of fresh eggs and a case of toilet paper to help our neighbors in need. Throughout the year, they also give monetary gifts and, with the help of local partners and volunteers, have planted a community garden that provides us with about 1,000 pounds of fresh vegetables each year. Thank you, Sisters, for your kindness and for making a real difference in our community!

We are filled with joy as we share that our newest ministry, Our Lady’s Sanctuary of Grace, is now ready to welcome single pregnant women ages 18+ at risk for homelessness. Archbishop McKnight blessed the home, which will serve as a place of refuge and renewal. Here they will find shelter, community and life-changing resources to help build a stable future for themselves and their babies.

If you are in need of food, come join us at our Mobile Food Distribution at Christ Community Church next Tuesday, September 1st. We are partnering with Harvesters to distribute food at this location the first Tuesday of every month until December, so mark your calendars!
