It's always an honor for us to participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Missouri We received the torch from Creve Coeur Police Department at Ashby/Midland and headed east on Midland through our venue. We were lucky enough to be accompanied by a wonderful, enthusiastic, young athlete as well!

On or about May 18,2026, at approximately 4:50p.m., officers responded to 10300 block of Driver for a flourishing. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with the victim who stated that her roommate, later identified as the defendant, held a knife to her neck and said, "if you do not get the f**k out of here it's going to be a bloody mess." The officer observed a small red puncture mark and a thin red line on the victim's neck.

The defendant was still in the basement with her dog, a pitbull, when the officers arrived.

A crisis negotiation team responded to speak with the defendant. The defendant barricaded herself in the restroom with the pitbull. An officer stood in the living room and displayed the department issued taser and issued multiple commands ordering the defendant to come out. Eventually an officer tased the defendant, immediately
apprehended the defendant, and the defendant continued to resist.

While escorting the defendant to the front yard, the defendant dragged her feet and grabbed the officer's leg and continued to drag her feet, thrashed her body and dropped to dead weight on the ground. Officers had to carry the defendant to the patrol vehicle. The defendant continued to kick and thrash on the ground, and the defendant kicked an officer in the left eye and cheekbone.

During a search incident to arrest, an officer located a container that had capsules in it and two cut straws. During a search of the defendant's bag, an officer located what appeared to be a large quantity of narcotics.

Marsala is currently being held on a $100,000.00 Bond

Today, we observe Peace Officers Memorial Day. As National Police Week is coming to an end, we'd like to take the time to pay tribute to officers who have died in the line of duty. This year, 109 names were etched onto the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial wall in Washington D.C., in remembrance of the fallen officers from 2025 - including 2 from Missouri. Your devotion and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
