On Tuesday, 05-19-2026, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorneys Office issued the following charges against Sara Marsala:
Count: 01 ASSAULT- 2ND DEGREE- CLASS D FELONY
Count: 02 ARMED CRIMINAL ACTION- CLASS U FELONY
Count: 03 RESISTING/INTERFERING WITH ARREST FOR A FELONY- CLASS E FELONY
Count: 04 ASSAULT- 4TH DEGREE- PURSUANT TO SUBDIVISION (3) SPECIAL VICTIMS CLASS A MISDEMEANOR
On or about May 18,2026, at approximately 4:50p.m., officers responded to 10300 block of Driver for a flourishing. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with the victim who stated that her roommate, later identified as the defendant, held a knife to her neck and said, "if you do not get the f**k out of here it's going to be a bloody mess." The officer observed a small red puncture mark and a thin red line on the victim's neck.
The defendant was still in the basement with her dog, a pitbull, when the officers arrived.
A crisis negotiation team responded to speak with the defendant. The defendant barricaded herself in the restroom with the pitbull. An officer stood in the living room and displayed the department issued taser and issued multiple commands ordering the defendant to come out. Eventually an officer tased the defendant, immediately
apprehended the defendant, and the defendant continued to resist.
While escorting the defendant to the front yard, the defendant dragged her feet and grabbed the officer's leg and continued to drag her feet, thrashed her body and dropped to dead weight on the ground. Officers had to carry the defendant to the patrol vehicle. The defendant continued to kick and thrash on the ground, and the defendant kicked an officer in the left eye and cheekbone.
During a search incident to arrest, an officer located a container that had capsules in it and two cut straws. During a search of the defendant's bag, an officer located what appeared to be a large quantity of narcotics.
Marsala is currently being held on a $100,000.00 Bond
