City of Overton The City of Overton, Texas located both in Rusk and Smith counties.

Overton lies approximately 10 miles south of Kilgore (25 miles south of Longview), 15 miles west of Henderson and 20 miles southeast of Tyler.

Wednesday 6/10/26 tomorrow morning the City of Overton will repair a water leak on North Motley. Work will begin 9:00 AM we do not expect this repair to cause a water outage but it will affect travelers on Motley. If you can avoid please do. Traveling Front Street will help you avoid the work zone.

Unfortunately this was caused by a faulty check valve installed a little over a year ago!!!

The Manitowoc Family Aquatic Center opens for the season on Saturday!

The Aquatic Center will be open from June 6 - August 17, 2026
