Heard the phrase an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure? In this case, it is a 2.5 pound dry chem fire extinguisher prevented a house fire.
One of our homeowners illustrated the importance of cleaning your chimney often AND having a working fire extinguisher.
Homeowner says he is buying a bigger extinguisher. Maybe two, just in case.

It’s pancake day! Once you shoot your trophy buck, come warm up with pancakes, eggs, sausage, and potatoes.
Didn’t see anything? Well come have breakfast anyways. 7-11. $10 for adults, $5 for children, all you can eat.

**Montrose Turnpike is back open**

Montrose Turnpike is closed from the village line to South Side Drive.
There are lots of trees and parts of trees down all over, with and without wires involved, so please be careful this morning.

We will be collecting toy donations for Toys for Tots in support of the Tioga County Veterans Association. If you would like to help, you can donate a new, unwrapped toy or make a cash donation to them when you come for breakfast.
