♻️ The Owego Elementary School Green Team and CYCLA, LLC are teaming up to keep textiles out of landfills and help you declutter for free with their Fill That Truck event!

📅 Saturday, May 16, 2026
⏲ 10am – 12pm
📍 Owego Elementary School (OES). Pull right up to the drop-off circle in front of the building!

Last Chance Collection Day is Monday, May 18, 2026 (Final Day!) when you can bring items directly to the OES Main Office.

✅ What is Accepted?
Apparel: Shirts, Tees, Dresses, Jackets, Sweaters, Hats, Gloves, Ties, and Scarves.
Essentials: Shoes, Undergarments, and Sleepwear.
Linens: Towels, Sheets, and Blankets.

❌ What is NOT Accepted?
Pillows or Comforters
Wet, Mildewed, Oily, or Contaminated items.

Looking to get rid of old tires or outdated electronics? TEAM Tioga wants to help you keep our beautiful county clean and green! 🌿 Several local municipalities are hosting drop-off events to help you dispose of hard-to-recycle items safely and responsibly.

📣 Calling all local municipalities and not-for-profits! There is a new competitive grant opportunity to support the design, construction, and renovation of public playgrounds in our area.

The New York Places for Learning, Activity, and Youth Socialization (NY PLAYS) grant has $67.5 million available, with awards ranging from $100,000 to $2.5 million.

Here are the key details:
📍 Funding Agency: NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), with administration through DASNY.
💰 Match Requirement: 20%
📅 Application Window: 5/4/26 - 6/15/26
