Last nights training consisted of throwing ladders. This class better prepared our firefighters to have the confidence to successfully deploy any type of ladder when the need arises.

Yesterday we had the privilege to haul the Easter bunny around at the Easter eggstraviganza at yellow creek park. We would like to thank the parks department for having us out to help with the event.

A joint training exercise was conducted last night with several Daviess County departments participating. The training included three stations, focusing on search and rescue operations, nozzle training and hose advancement techniques, and large building search procedures. We acknowledge the Daviess County Fire Department for their role as host and instructor during this beneficial training exercise.

Last night we had the privilege to head to Whitesville Vfd and train with them on the forceable entry prop. It was a great training and we would like the thank Whitesville Vfd for having us out to train with them.

Tonight we had our annual Christmas awards banquet. We handed out our firefighter of the year award, hall of fame award, engineer appreciation, and years of service awards.

Hall of fame award this year went to Eng/EMT Mike Reynolds. Mike has been with the department for 35 years making lots of runs over those years. Congratulations Mike job well done.

Firefighter of the year award went to FF/EMT Chandler Freels. In his short time with us chandler has gone above and beyond to show what it takes to make firefighter of the year. Congrats Chandler well deserved.
