OMS Weekly Student Shout Outs

We see you, and the little things go a long way. Thank you for helping to make OMS a great place!

Jayce Haeusser - A student in front of Jayce dropped his lunch tray, and Jayce helped the Cafeteria staff clean up the mess!

Mason Nowack - Mason cleaned up his lunch table after all of his friends left without being asked. He also helped another student with their lunch box.

Easton Geisler - Easton has been coming to class prepared, focusing on his work, and getting his assignments completed.

Addy Newbound - Addy helped a group of students out on the first day of school who were struggling with the activity. She made sure the group was able to complete the activity and understood how to do it. The activity was to make the longest paper chain using teamwork.

Christian Brand - Christian and another student participated in the rock, paper, scissors tournament and showed great sportsmanship by shaking hands before they battled.

Elijah Ghormley - Elijah and another student demonstrated great sportsmanship during a rock, paper, scissors tournament before they battled by shaking hands.

Christian Brand - Helping a fellow student learn a new instrument.

Asher Weppner - Asher has been prepared for class and is doing a great job of managing being a part of both intermediate and advanced bands. He has been a great role model for our younger band students.

It was so much fun to see all of the students enjoing our pep assembly in our new gym. It was great to see most of the student body able to sit in bleachers and get excited about being back to school. Congratulations to Kade Skornia for being our winner in the TV drawing. He was randomly selected from all students that had turned in their online registration and free and reduced lunch form. It's been a great start to the school year at OMS!

Dutchmen Football Friday Nights start this Friday!! Come join the Middle School student section in the end zone to cheer on our team. Student section opens at 6:45pm. Only middle school students can join our fun. Students cannot come and go, but can visit the concession stand at half time. See you there!!

REMINDER: Middle School sport practices officially start up Monday, August 17th for 6th/7th/8th Boys and Girls Cross Country, 7th/8th Girls Basketball, and 7th/8th Football. In order to participate in practice, student athletes must have all of their forms filled out with an up to date physical in FinalForms. Physicals are good for 2 years, so if your student-athlete had a physical on file previously that has not yet expired then they are still good to go. For any questions, please call OHS at (573)-646-4005 and ask to speak to the Athletic Director's office. Or, for help with FinalForms, watch this step-by-step video in the following link:
