Read below for why one of your HANDS families joined HANDS.✨

“I enrolled in the program, not because I’ve never worked with children before or because I felt incapable to raise a child. There are some things that, I’ll admit, I don’t know.

However, I enrolled in the program because I’ve never raised MY child before. I enrolled in the program because you can never learn TOO much about your child. As adults, we are still learning, still changing.

To me this program is more than just that. The HANDS program challenges me to think about other aspects of my life, not just our baby to come. Work/life balance and am I taking care of me. The idea of this craft, symbolizing “Saving for a Rainy Day,” challenges me to think differently about that balance. Considering my daughter to come, but also not neglecting the self care I need and also my husband. “You can’t pour from an empty cup”

That is what this weekly activity taught me. Thinking from a different perspective that I wouldn’t have realized had I NOT enrolled in the HANDS program. Thank you to my ongoing HANDS home visitor and the program! -Abby”

We love watching our HANDS families grow and thrive. Help us in celebrating Calliope and her family as she graduates the HANDS program.
Below is a testimony from Calliope’s mom:

“I would say learning that she has a different way of doing things! Her personality makes her special and sometimes stubborn kids are your mom challenge. You wouldn’t have anything to stress you out if one kid didn’t your limits! She enjoyed it by doing activities and seeing you guys. Seeing you guys care so much for her made her feel special!”

Congratulations Calliope! We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish. 🎉

Congratulations to Blakelynn and her parents, Mariah and Steven, on graduating from the HANDS program!

It has been such a joy watching Blakelynn grow into the bright and curious little girl she is today. She loves her ABCs, pizza, and playing in the dirt—what a fun combination!

The family is excited for the year ahead, especially starting Head Start and making new friends. Mariah and Steven shared, “HANDS has been a helpful and extraordinary resource. It has helped us grow as parents, and I think everyone should do it—especially stay-at-home parents. I look forward to home visits just as much as the kids do”

We hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating Blakelynn’s 3rd birthday this weekend! 🎉
