We’ve got a full month of fun, fellowship, and activities planned for May! From daily favorites like coffee & chat, walking club, and games to special events like our Derby Day Party, Mother’s Day Trip, and Movie Nights, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Don’t forget, all trips require RSVP by specific dates, so be sure to call the center for details and to save your spot!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shane and Rita Power for hosting our seniors at their residence this evening. The evening was a resounding success, featuring a devotion led by David Lilly and praise and worship led by Shane. We also appreciate the generous provision of food and homemade ice cream that complemented our fellowship. Great food with great people and lots of laughter!

Shawn Louden visits the center several times a year and recently delivered a presentation on Medicare Fraud, also providing one-on-one assistance to seniors with their Medicare plans. Medicare beneficiaries have until April 30th to adjust their plans. For inquiries, seniors can reach out to Shawn, and all are welcome to meet with him at the center.

The weather during our Fort Boonesborough State Park visit was quite favorable. Exploring the buildings within the fort proved to be an engaging experience. Hall's On The River offered a satisfying conclusion to our trip, with its broad menu selection that included fish, frog legs, and crab patties, thus catering to different tastes. We are grateful to Rita Power of German American Bank for volunteering her time to spend with our senior citizens.

On April 21st at 2pm, Richard Sellnow from UK Extension Cooperative will be conducting a computer class open to the public. These sessions are customized to cater to individual requirements. Whether you're looking to master Microsoft Office or are a beginner seeking foundational knowledge, Richard can provide personalized instruction. Additionally, if there's a specific feature on your tablet, iPad, or phone you'd like to learn more about, David Hill will be here next Tuesday to continue the computer classes. Computer Classes are offered every 3rd and 4th Tuesday of every month at the center. Please share. 💻🖥

We would like to highlight Karen Washburn's flower bed, which showcases her dedication to maintaining an attractive area adjacent to the center's entrance. Karen, along with her son, transformed a sandbox into a thriving flower bed by incorporating drainage holes and planting flowers. Her efforts are greatly appreciated, and this area consistently reflects her attention to detail. Thank you, Karen! 🌼 🌸 🌻
