The **Preston Fire Department** would like to congratulate our Junior Firefighter, **Conner Creech**, on officially getting his **driver’s license!** 🎉👏

We’re excited for Conner… and just a *little* concerned for everyone else on the road. 😂

After all those hours of training, he’s finally cleared to operate a vehicle without an adult sitting beside him saying, *“Slow down!”* 😆

🎂 Sunday, August 9th — We’re wrapping up the week celebrating FF Dakota Hunley, who is officially turning 20! 🎉

⛈️ Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible today. Stay alert and be prepared to act if warnings are issued.

Today’s Hazards:
🌧️ Heavy rainfall that could cause flash flooding
💨 Damaging wind gusts
🧊 Large hail
🌪️ An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out

Be Prepared:
✅ Have multiple ways to receive weather alerts.
✅ Secure loose outdoor items.
✅ Never drive through flooded roadways — Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
✅ If a warning is issued, move to the lowest level of a sturdy building and stay away from windows.
✅ Keep your phone charged in case of power outages.

🚒 Preston Fire Department reminds everyone to stay weather aware and check on elderly neighbors, those with medical needs, and anyone who may need assistance during severe weather.
