The Bath County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Deputy Sheriff. We are looking for individuals who are committed to serving and protecting the citizens of Bath County.

Requirements:
✅ Must be at least 21 years of age
✅ High school diploma or GED
✅ Valid Kentucky Drivers License
✅ Must pass a background check, drug screening, and physical fitness standards
✅ Must be able to attend and successfully complete the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) Academy if not already certified.

On 7/22/23 the Bath Co Sheriff’s Department along with Owingsville Police Department and Menifee County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant in the Peasticks area of Bath County. Lead investigator Deputy Ben Buckler Sr. of the Bath Co Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Jessie Stewart, Deputy Travis Crabtree, OPD Asst. Chief John Sutherland and Officer Johnny Botts, Menifee Co Deputies and K-9 executed the warrant which lead to the couple being charged with numerous counts of trafficking in controlled substance, possession of a hand gun by a convicted felon. They served a Pulaski County indictment warrant on the male suspect Jessie Hawkins for trafficking m**h and persistent felony offender. There was an estimated 18.5 grams of he**in, 47 grams of m**h, 18 grams of mushrooms, 6 ounces of ma*****na, 5 doses of L*D, $6000 cash, numerous items of drug paraphernalia seized during the operation. Deputy Buckler acting on a citizen tip and the quick action of the Bath County Attorney Kim Hunt Price was able to obtain information which led to the search warrant and arrests of the suspects. The suspects Jessie Hawkins and Monica Meade of Peasticks were lodged in the Rowan Co Detention Center.

The Bath Co Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full time Court Security Officer. Male or Female. Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid High School Diploma or GED. You will be required to complete a two week training program in Richmond. Pay will be discussed at time of interview. Applications may be picked up at the Bath Co Sheriff’s Office Monday-Friday,
8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Bath County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identification of this man, he is wanted for questioning regarding a stolen 2011 Polaris Ranger. The UTV was stolen from Carrington Greens Golf Course around 6:35am on June 23, 2023 and was last seen on South Hwy 211.
