We are sending a heartfelt THANK YOU to all who helped make this year's Back to School party a success! Thank you for donating supplies, funds, backpacks, food, and time. All of these things made our annual party a success, and we provided 190 children with a backpack, supplies, and a new shoe gift card.

Thank you to the community agencies that showed up to provide resources and information to party attendees!

We had a great team of volunteers packing up school supplies for our Back to School party tomorrow. Thanks to our generous community, we are ready to help 100 kids go back to school with nice back packs, lots of school supplies and $35 gift cards for new shoes.

We often get asked if our Back-to-School party is open to the public and the answer is, "YES!"

We hold the party at our Impact Center (Lot 33) in Pleasant Valley Trailer Park but everyone is welcome!

We hold the party in this neighborhood for a couple of reasons. First, it's where we do the majority of our work through the year.

More importantly, we want to re-story this neighborhood. Pleasant Valley Trailer Park gets more negative press than any other neighborhood in our community.

Imagine growing up as a kid in a place that no one ever has anything good to say about it. We want the families to live in this neighborhood to have some pride about the fact that good things happen there too.

So, come and join us for the Back-to-School Party. It's going to be a blast!

WOW! We have the best supporters. As of this morning (August 6) we have reached our goal of $3500 so we can purchase $35 gift cards to a local shoe store to help 100 kids go back to school with brand new shoes at our upcoming back to school party.

We are still in need of backpacks and school supplies. You can drop supplies off at Etcetera or Through the Seasons inside Owosso Armory. You can also drop off at Owosso City Church 521 E. Williams St. on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday during business hours.

We are in the height of collecting school supplies for our annual Back to School Party! This is one of our favorite events each year because it helps us positively reinforce school and build relationships with our neighbors. Please consider donating some school supplies or funds to help with the shoe gift cards.

Everyone knows the importance of new shoes to start the school year on the right foot! Part of our work is to provide each child that gets a backpack from us with a gift card for new shoes at our Back to School Party! 👟
