Our Owosso Trojan Marching Band had the honor of performing the national anthem at the Tigers game on Saturday, August 29. The Tigers won on a walk-off home run! Coincidence?!

Launching the Great Lakes Vision Bus at our elementary schools is a powerful example of our district theme: Choose to Make a Difference. By providing vision exams, screenings, and glasses directly at school, we are making healthcare more accessible while ensuring students have the support they need to see, learn, and thrive.

This week, the vision bus is at Bryant Elementary. It will also travel to Emerson and Central Elementary Schools. The dental bus will follow in a couple of months.

Thank you to our school nurses Emily Bickel, Nichole Brooks, and Carissa Witjes, for coordinating these services that support our Owosso students’ health and well-being!

Being a good citizen carries on through summer break at Owosso Public Schools. Over the summer, students and staff from Owosso Middle School and Owosso High School assisted with our local mobile food bank distribution events. The next mobile food distribution will take place on September 8, starting at 3 p.m. at the Baker College Welcome Center.
