Knocking doors!

Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day in East Lansing this weekend. Thanks to everyone who came out, whether you were checking out the campaign for the first time or gearing up to knock doors and grow the Team.

This is why Teams organize.

The people who clean patient rooms, prepare meals, and keep facilities running at a hospital are essential members of the Team.

That's why it's infuriating to see a decision made behind closed doors that could strip nearly 400 of those workers of the wages, benefits, and workplace protections they fought for through collective bargaining.

These workers aren't a line item on a spreadsheet. They're Team members. They deserve transparency, respect, and a real voice when decisions this significant are being made.

I’m proud to have earned the Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction. As a dad, a retired Navy SEAL, and a responsible gun owner, I know firsthand that you can respect the Second Amendment *and* take common sense steps to keep our kids safe from gun violence.

I want to bring other responsible gun owners into the conversation so we can move past the politics and work together to save lives.

Laura and I started our Memorial Day with a Murph: a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and one more 1-mile run.

The Murph honors of U.S. Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy, who died in the line of duty in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005.

Memorial Day is a personal day for me and Laura. Today we’re thinking about the dozens of friends we served with who didn’t make it home, and many more who made it home but lost their lives to su***de.

We joined folks in Hartland today for a unified message of thanks for all who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We owe them a nation serious enough to understand the true cost of sending Americans into harm’s way.

If you haven’t been to the Cristo Rey Church - Iglesia Cristo Rey fiesta yet, be sure to go this weekend to get some of the best Mexican food there is in Michigan!

Had an awesome time meeting people today and talking about what’s on their mind ($5 gas came up a lot!), thanking our first responders for being there, and seeing volunteers in action as they registered voters before this year‘s elections.
