December 21-22, 2018 – ALL ARE INVITED to Downtown Owosso as Santa travels from the "Santa Express" Pere Marquette 1225 Steam Train into Downtown Owosso & walks through town, taking part in the Christmas Extravaganza! He will be downtown 4 different times throughout the weekend.
Santa will be Downtown at the following days & times:
- Friday, December 21st at 7:30pm
- Saturday, December 22nd at 12:30pm; 3:30pm; & 6:30pm
Each time Santa will be stopping at 3 different locations where community activities will be taking place. These “Santa Stops” are as follows:
•Main Street Plaza - Santa will stop by our Downtown Christmas Tree to welcome everyone to Downtown Owosso and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. While at the plaza you can enjoy ice skating on our weather proof ice rink
•The Armory - Santa will stop at the Armory Stage where the Owosso High School Madrigals Choir will lead him and the guests in a few Christmas Carols. Be sure to keep your eye out for the Christmas Juggler!
•Curwood Castle - Santa invites you to cross the Heritage Foot Bridge into Curwood Castle Park. The Park will be decorated as a “Winter Wonderland”. There will be an Ice Princess at the top of the Castle that people can visit. Here Santa will bid farewell as he leaves back to the North Pole.
There will also be FREE Horse & Carriage Rides available to everyone.
While you're downtown, grab a downtown map and visit downtown businesses to enter to win 4 tickets for the 2019 North Pole Express Excursion Train! In addition, many downtown businesses will have family friendly activities for all.

- Abiding in the Vine = Tea with Mrs. Claus
- Apple Tree Lane = Popcorn Bar
- Blossom Boutique = Wooden Snowflake Make & Take 10am-3pm; cookie decorating 4pm-6pm
- Birch & Elm = Pics with Props Photo Booth
- Capitol Bowl = Santa Claus Lane Packages; Board Game Bonanza (Saturday 12pm-7:30pm); Game Show Night (Fri & Sat 7:30pm-9:30pm)
- Foster Coffee Co. = Extended hours & Seasonal Specialty Drinks
- His & Hers Hometown Oddities = Giving Tree
- Makeup by Kendra Leigh = Bellawoods Boutique pop-up
- Murtles = Pictures with the Grinch
- Niche Bar & Lounge = popcorn snowman activity; $2 domestics and $2 well; $1 off any pepperoni or cheese pizza and kid's drink special
- O-Town Cafe = Santa's Elves take over; $0.76 Kids meals; Christmas Ornament Make & Take; Christmas Games
- Owosso Community Players = "Wrap it Up" vendor event including free gift wrapping; public restrooms/warming station
