⚠️⚠️ Possible fines if this continues ⚠️⚠️

When mowing your lawn please be sure to keep grass clippings out of the streets and off the sidewalks, or blow the clippings back into your yard when you're finished. Not only is it against the City ordinance, but these clippings can be a slipping/crash hazard for pedestrians and bikers. If clippings are left in the street they will eventually wash into the storm drains and can cause them to plug up.

The next time you are mowing, please take the time and do an extra pass to blow the clippings back into your yard.

Severe storms moving through SW Iowa will quickly move eastward reaching parts of E Iowa around 8 AM and then continuing ENE into IL by late AM. Swaths of damaging winds >70 mph are likely with embedded tornadoes also possible. Storms will be moving very fast and offer little time to act, so know ahead of time where you will shelter if a warning is issued.
