I am incredibly proud to congratulate Great Oak Elementary School on being named one of only six 2026 Connecticut Blue Ribbon Schools.

This prestigious honor reflects the dedication and hard work of our students, teachers, staff, Board of Education, and families. A special thank you to Principal Aimee Misset, Superintendent Dr. Ralph Marino and the entire Great Oak team for their outstanding leadership and commitment to excellence.

As First Selectman, I was honored to attend the ceremony celebrating this achievement. To have Great Oak recognized among just six schools statewide is a tremendous accomplishment and a source of pride for our entire Oxford community.

Arnie and I had a great time attending the Oxford Nature & Art Festival at the Little River Nature Preserve today. It was great to see so many residents and visitors enjoying the beautiful property, local artists, vendors, and family-friendly activities.

A big thank you to everyone who helped organize and support this well-attended community event. Your hard work helped make it a great day for Oxford! 🌿🎨☀️

Arnie and I had a great time at BHcare’s Chance to Shine event at Quarry Walk today! The band was fantastic, and the bicycle parade with Joe Furey from Channel 8 was a lot of fun.

Rain or shine, we will gather as one community to honor the heroes who gave their lives defending our nation and protecting the freedoms we hold dear. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and their legacy lives on in the heart of America.

Grab your flags, wear your red, white, and blue, and join us in a proud display of patriotism, remembrance, and gratitude.
