🎃 Halloween Safety Tips for a Fun & Safe Night in Oxford! 👻

As our little ghosts and goblins head out for trick-or-treating, please remember to keep safety in mind:

🕯️ Be visible and alert! Carry flashlights or glow sticks, wear reflective clothing.

🚸 Slow down and stay in groups! Drivers—please use extra caution and watch for children crossing the streets. Stay in groups, cross at crosswalks and talk to your kids about the dangers on the roadways to include floodwater.

🏠 Light the way! Homeowners, keep walkways clear and well-lit for visitors.

🐾 Keep pets and children safe! Bring your pets inside or keep them secure away from the door.

Let’s make this Halloween spooky, safe, and fun for all! 🎃👻🧡

More high water expected tonight starting around 8pm and lasting until the early morning hours.

Due to S Morris / Pleasant St area already being closed from todays high tide, we have no way of redirecting traffic around the causeway.

If MDOT decides to close Oxford Rd tonight, which is highly likely, there will be no way in or out of town. Plan accordingly!

Avoid all flooded roadways. Do not drive through or around barriers. Water depths and current can be deceiving and dangerous. It’s imperative that you do not drive through or enter standing water. Turn Around Don’t Drown!

⚠️Road Closures as of 9:30 AM⚠️

N Harbor Rd. closed from E Chew to the Harbor Rd. - St.Michaels

E. Strand & Bank St. are impassable - Oxford

Oxford Causeway is closed and traffic is being redirected - Oxford
