Southern Sketches This project is sponsored by the Yoknaptawpha Arts Council, the Lafayette County and Oxford Public L Each winning chapter will be posted to the website.

Southern Sketches is a project designed to promote creativity for students in the Oxford/Lafayette County area. The project is an original story that students will write and submit chapters to. The final book will be available in the Lafayette County and Oxford Public Library. The project is meant to celebrate the local Oxford community and the young minds of that community.

Southerns Sketches will be featured in an upcoming edition of the School Library Journal. Lauren Barack will be interviewing project coordinator Megan Fowler this afternoon, and then the story will appear soon. More details to come.
