It’s the Oxford regatta this weekend and the log canoes will be racing! They are such beautiful boats and you can usually see them race by right from Town Park across the street from the Treasure Chest. The warning signal for the race tomorrow, Saturday 8/8 is 10 AM for the first race and 2 PM for the afternoon race. Tonight, several boats will be arriving from the Solomons to Oxford race. It’s always a fun time in town on the regatta weekends and I hope you can come join us in Oxford and stop by the Treasure Chest!

It's amost Chesapeake Bay log canoe racing time in Oxford! The Oxford Regatta will be held at Tred Avon Yacht Club the weekend of August 8 and 9. Where can you see these boats racing from land if you can't get out on the water? Try the Strand or Oxford Town Park! These boats are fun to watch compete!

Oxford, Maryland has seven working boatyards - Campbell's Boatyard @ Jack's Pt., Campbell's Town Creek Boatyard, Cutts & Case, DiMillo's Chesapeake, Hinckley Company, and Safe Harbor Oxford's two locations.
