Once the NC General Assembly voted to cut funding to the Biofuels center for political reasons and Governor McCrory signed it, they forced the Center to close. Our neighboring states cheered this decision. Although we were not allowed to discuss these decisions during the process, we'd like to know your thoughts on the political decision by the General Assembly and Governor McCrory to force us to stop developing a new industry in the state. We appreciate your thoughts!

The Biofuels Center of North Carolina announced Monday, 4 February 2013, it will award up to $1.1 million for projects that address identified areas of critical need related to the acceleration of the renewable fuels industry in western North Carolina.

OXFORD, N.C.—The Biofuels Center of North Carolina has awarded $1,479,949 for 12 projects statewide to develop the biofuels sector.
