The Village Board of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 25th, at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Hall, 20 Lafayette Park. Public comments will be heard at the beginning of the meeting.

The Village water department will be conducting an annual hydrant flushing starting tonight and through out the evenings the rest of the week. We do not expect any water interruptions. If you experience discolored water, run your cold water until it clears.

Please take notice that a public hearing will be held by the Village of Oxford Board of Trustees on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Village Hall, 20 Lafayette Park, Oxford. The purpose of the public hearing is to consider the adoption of a proposed local law entitled "A local law to establish regulations on the use of bicycles with electric assist (E-Bikes) within the Village of Oxford". Also, to amend the Village of Oxford zoning code to establish a clear, constitutional framework for Code Enforcement Inspection and Administrative Search Warrants.
Copies of the full text of the two proposed local laws are available for public inspection at the Village Clerk's office during regular business hours (M-F, 9AM-1PM). All citizens and interested parties will be given an opportunity to be heard in person or by agent at the aforesaid time and place.

Midland Hill, Greene St and Bradley Hill are micro sealed. The project will continue on South Washington , Ross and Clinton Street Ext. tomorrow. Please make other arrangements for your cars and please do not park on the streets. Thank you for your cooperation.

Micro sealing that was scheduled for today for Ross St., Green St., Midland Hill, Bradley Hill, Clinton St. and South Washington Avenue has been postponed until tomorrow (Tuesday July 7th) and Wednesday (July 8th). If the project gets delayed because of weather, it will extend to Thursday, July 9th. Please make arrangements for parking and leaving your house. Work starts at 8 a.m. Cars CANNOT be parked on the street for this project.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS — EXTENSION OF BID OPENING
VILLAGE OF OXFORD, NEW YORK
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oxford has authorized an extension for the submission of sealed bids for the Village Fire Station Renovation Project.
The public bid opening, originally scheduled for June 30, 2026, at 2 p.m., has been postponed. Sealed proposals will now be received by the Village Clerk at Village Hall, PO Box 866, 20 Lafayette Park, Oxford New York 13830, or [email protected] until July 13, 2026, at 2 p.m., at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
ADDITIONAL WALKTHROUGH: A second, non-mandatory, pre-bid site walkthrough will be held at the Village Fire Station, 20 Main Street Oxford New York, on July 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. for all interested contractors.
All prospective bidders must download and acknowledge Addendum No. 1, which details these schedule changes. Bidding documents and addenda are available at the Village Clerk’s Office or online at [email protected]

On Monday, July 6th Suit-kote will be in to apply a micro seal to Greene Street, small section of Bradley Hill, Midland Hill and Clinton St. extension, Ross St, and South Washington Ave. Work will begin shortly after 8 am. Parking on the street will be prohibited until the work is done.
We will have one lane open to allow some traffic through. But there is a chance you may not be able to get in or out of your driveway until the surface treatment cures.
