🎉 Welcome Back, Mr. Hughes! 🎉

Della Davidson is excited to welcome Mr. Hughes as our new Assistant Principal for the upcoming school year!

Mr. Hughes began his journey at Della as an ELA teacher before serving as an ELA Instructional Coach in the Curriculum Department. After successfully completing the Principal Corps program at the University of Mississippi, he is returning home to Della full-time in this new leadership role.

📚✅ Online registration is OPEN, and our registration office will remain OPEN all summer to provide support for families.

Today we celebrated Mrs. Kelly and the incredible impact she has made on Della over the years. 💙💛

It is hard to imagine Della without her, and she will truly be missed by students, staff, and families alike. Mrs. Kelly has always believed that every child can learn and succeed, and because of her passion and dedication, countless students were given the support, encouragement, and opportunities they needed to grow.

While she may be retiring, her legacy will continue on for years to come in “Kelly’s Corner,” where students will continue to be given every chance to learn, grow, and succeed — just the way she would want it. Thank you, Mrs. Kelly, for the love, heart, and difference you made every single day.

Today was one of the hardest parts of this job… saying goodbye to people who have become such an important part of our Della family. 💙💛

While these amazing teachers may not be with us next year, they will always be part of Della. Their impact, love for students, and the countless memories made here will stay with us forever.

We know they are going to go on and do incredible things in new places, and we have no doubt they’ll take a little bit of that Della magic with them wherever they go. Thank you for everything you poured into our students, staff, and school. You will be missed more than words can say.

As we wrapped up the school year, we asked some of our students what they are going to miss most about Della… and their answers reminded us just how special this place really is. 💙💛

From teachers and friends to the new playground, recess, and all the memories made along the way — Della is truly a family. We hope everyone has an amazing summer, and we are going to miss our 3rd graders so much next year!!!!
