We've got lots of BIG activities happening this week at Thornton Library!
1.) Mark your calendars for Monday, June 29: our 3rd annual Summer Blow-Out Party at the Granville Athletic Park is back! This year, we're making it even bigger by partnering with Granville Arts Center and inviting the Raleigh Rockers to perform a break-dance routine! Join us from 10:30am - 12:00pm!
2.) Willa Brigham, a kids and family-friendly storyteller (and two-time Emmy winner) is visiting Thornton (at 10:00am) and South (at 12:00pm) branch libraries on Thursday, June 25! Her wit, rhymes, songs, and stories make her shine for both children and adults.
3.) Kids are making ice cream on Tuesday, June 23! (Stovall Branch - 10:00am and Thornton Library - 3:00pm) Come hungry and ready to enjoy a sweet treat! (Please contact Amy Carlson prior to the program if your child has a dairy and/or gluten allergy.)
4.) Spots are still open for our StarLabs Planetarium visit on Wednesday, June 24 at 3:00pm! Contact Amy Carlson for more information.
5.) On Thursday, June 25 at 3:00pm, teens are determining what actually makes a waffle... waffle! We're putting different types of food inside a waffle maker to discover what happens. (Please contact Amy Carlson prior to the program if your teen has a dairy, gluten, and/or nut allergy)
